The Alpha system uses the concept that our domestic dogs have at their core the same needs and instincts as wolves. Their lives are basically centred and focused around one key concern... Nothing drives dogs more deeply than the survival instinct. This means that the Alpha method builds itself around this issue. In the Alpha system we concentrate of changing the ‘role’ of the dog. This is because the problems that we have with our dogs stem from your dog thinking it is the dominant or Alpha member of your pack!
